Running between buildings and avoiding anything that smelled alive, KiHyun was trying to get to Alice's place as quickly and as quietly as possible. KiHyun wasn't the type of person to make house calls. Ever. In fact he hated going to people's homes. It was always awkward and claustrophobic and honestly he didn't even go to his own home for those reasons. The reason he was going to Alice's home though was a special reason. Apparently there had been a break in at her house and even though Alice was a strong enough woman normally, the idea of someone breaking into her house while she was gone was terrifying. It even scared Kihyun enough that he'd rushed out of the restaurant he was currently waiting for his food in and headed straight there.
It wasn't only Alice that KiHyun worried about. Alice also had Cole and KiHyun looked at that kid like his own. Not that he had any right to, however when one spends a lot of time with people you're bound to get attached. And who wouldn't get attached to that kid? KiHyun just wished he had a true father figure in his life. So running for the both of them, it didn't take KiHyun long to get to Alice's place of residence. Once he got close, he let out a howl loud enough that she's bound to hear, just so she knew he was nearby. That's what wolves did anyways. Signal to others to hear where they were. If she were to hear his howl no doubt both Alice and Cole would feel at least a little safer.
Once he got close enough to be possibly seen, KiHyun shifted into his human form and found his bag he left nearby Alice's house for instances where he went to visit her. Grabbing the bag he threw his clothes on quickly so no one would see him, then quickly hurried the rest of the way. Once he got to her door, he didn't take the time to knock more than quick warning taps and then entered the building. "Alice?" he asked, his accent evident with her western name.

Alice had been scared out of her mind when she had gotten home from work to see her door was open and things were thrown across the house. Cole, who was thankfully with her at the library, kept asking her what happened. The brunette woman just smiled and said that it was just a giant gust of wind that made the house all dirty, then sent him to his toy room. Of course, she had to clean it up first. But that took her no time at all. Once Cole was out of ear shot, she made a frantic call to one of her close friends, KiHyun. She could always count on that shifter when she needed him. Soon after, she shakily started to pick things up. Her movements were slower than the Hummingbird shifter could normally do. But how could you blame her? Someone had broken into her house!
Would if he was still around? It was then she heard a howl. KiHyun. The small boy managed to shift into his chipmunk form and was perched on the couch, ready for the older man to come in. She slowly appeared as the man walked through the door. “K-KiHyun....” She said softly. The chipmunk child quickly ran across the floor and climbed up onto the man's shoulder, nuzzling his face against the man's as if saying 'Hello'. That was the normal greeting Cole had for KiHyun. But, it was apparent the tension and fear that was coming from his mother as she stepped closer to the Wolf shifter. “I...I don't know...when...or how...but...would if...”
Her soft voice tried to make sense of what she was trying to say, but all it came out to was broken words that clearly made no bit of understanding. 'Would if the person broke in was still in the house hiding?' she thought as she looked around at the mess again. Biting her lip, she shook a little as she wrapped her arms around herself, a habit she had been doing for years. “I..I don't know if....the person who broke in....left....” Alice whispered softly.

It was obvious to feel the tension in the room as soon as he came in. Cole, as always, was blissfully unaware of what happened and KiHyun was glad for that. At least he wasn't afraid and was able to continue their usual greeting where Cole scurried over and climbed up him before snuggling against his cheek. KiHyun then returned his usual greeting where he'd turn and pat Cole on the top of his head and then allowed him to move into his hand where he then held him warmly and make it obvious that he was there for him.
As Alice stepped closer, KiHyun moved his arm that wasn't connected to the hand that was holding her child and touched her shoulder protectively to show he was also there for her too. As she spoke, he gave her his complete attention waiting for her to be able to say what she was trying to. Once the fear-filled mother explained that she was afraid the person who did this might be inside, KiHyun looked around quickly and had to fight the urge to instantly go wolf in order to protect her better.
The Korean born couldn't do that though. He was fully dressed, and holding Cole in his hands. If he were to allow his instincts to take over and instantly turn into his wolf form, his clothes would cause problems, and he could also harm Cole. Still, KiHyun wanted to protect Alice so he quickly moved to hand Cole over to her and quickly wrapped an arm around her and moved to usher her outside.
"I'll check the place out. You and Cole go outside and keep alert. I'll search the house, and make sure it's safe inside...Araso?" He couldn't help but ask 'okay?' in his native Korean language. It came second nature to him.
