Humming to herself, Ericka had gotten ready for bed an hour earlier than what she originally wanted. But that was all right. A good nights sleep was everything to her, especially when she had a moment to herself where she could sit and watch the moon. Of course, she had her roommate across the hall and her favorite cat, Nomad with her. Speaking of Nomad, she needed to feed him. The young woman stood up and walked over to the plate, picking it up before heading to the kitchen and getting the rather spoiled cat some tuna. “Nomad....here kitty kitty....” she called, walking back to her room and placing the food down. Next, she emptied the water dish and made more magically appear out of thin air. Something she had learned to do with her abilities.
But, sadly, her energy drained and she set the bowl down and stumbled over to her bed and sat down. Being a hybrid meant having two abilities. A primary and a secondary. The primary was easier for her to do with no issue, while the secondary took most of her energy and made her weak. Which is probably why she hardly used her elemental abilities, unless she was feeling well enough to. It was then she took off her pants and crawled into bed. “Nomad....time for bed, baby....” she said, switching off the light. Darkness filled the small bedroom and the only thing she could see was the numbers on her digital clock. She layed there for a while before finally falling asleep.
She didn't know what woke her up in a cold sweat hours later. But she was definitely panting and looking around in the dark. It was slightly chilly in her room, making the small brunette hybrid shiver. Ericka sat up slowly and felt around her bed for her cat. “Nomad....Nomad baby...come here...Momma is cold...and...” And what? Terrified? Of what, though? She can't remember having a nightmare at all. “Come here Nomad....kitty kitty...come to Mommy...”
